Journal prompts + affirmations based on our moods? Ummm, Yes, please.

The Black Girl’s Journal is a Black-woman owned self-care company with a focus on empowering Black women to embody the knowing that they have everything it takes to successfully navigate their own self-care, personal development, and mental health through journaling as their first line of defense. As the CEO of our lives, it’s our right to pull in the many other self-care tools we find necessary to help us build the life of our dreams. But it’s in our journals where we can start to better understand our needs, tend to them, and script our dreams into reality.

Mood journaling is our preferred way to journal because it enhances the already existing benefits of journaling by giving you directly relevant journal prompts targeted for various moods, emotions, and experiences providing focused emotional support in the areas of your life where you need it most. With mood-based journaling, you don’t have to be anything other than exactly what and where you are at any given moment. If you’re angry one day, there are targeted journal prompts to meet you in your anger. If you’re struggling with fear another day, there’s an entirely different set of prompts to meet you where your fear lies too. If you need self confidence one day and faith another day, there are targeted affirmations to allow you to speak the words you need in each moment into your reality. These prompts and affirmations not only meet you where you are, they also focus on getting you unstuck. Mood-based journaling bridges the gap between your current mood and where you want to be. And honestly, shouldn’t all journal prompts do that?
